Pre-K Friends took an advantage of snow day and decided to learn a little bit more about snow.
What is it made off? What would happen to a snowball if we will leave it in our classroom?
How fast it would melt? We made two snowballs and decided to experiment leaving one in our classroom and ...
Other one we put into the freezer. Friends put their heads together to think what would happen to both snowballs. Friends said that they will melt. How long it would take them to melt? There is what our friends thought,
Friends observed the process of snowball melting.
It took a little more than an hour. David's prediction was correct.
But what did happen to the other snowball?
Nothing! It did not change a bit.
What did we learn? Snow made of the water. When we touched snow, our hands got wet. Water loves to stick to everything. Our hands got cold too. Snow is cold. We learned that snow melts in warm temperature, but in cold temperature it doesn't. It doesn't take longer than an hour for a small snowball to melt when it is warm.
Pre-K friends can't wait for more snow to come!
