Letter Mem Sofis

This week we learned Mem Sofis. It has the same sound as the letter Mem. What then is the difference between both letters, you ask? Good question. The letter Mem can be used at the begining or in middle of a word. Example: מרדכי -or Mordechai נעמי-Naomi
The letter Mem Sofis which means final mem can only be used at the end of a word.
Example: מים-water מצרים- Mitzrayim/Egypt

Mem Sofis has an extra big line on top, one big line coming down,one big line on the bottom, and one big line coming up on the side.
