Weather Policy

Dear Parents,
As fall is taking full rights, we start to see dramatic changes in weather conditions. Let’s face it, it is not getting warmer.  That is why we feel necessary to talk about school weather policy. One of our strong believes is that children benefit from vigorous mental and physical exercise.  That is why we take every day in account and bring children outside to play on fresh air.
Outside play on windless days when the temperature is above 32 F is recommended by NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.  We will make decisions about going outside based on a combination of factors - wind speed and amount of precipitation.
PLEASE take responsibility to check the weather before you send a child to school and dress him or her accordingly.
P.S. Layers are great! We can always “peel them off” if it gets warm.
