making our Literacy Month into an exciting month! Our door remains open for you and we are always be happy to see you reading, dancing, doing yoga or a project with friends:)
Pre-K Friends are the luckiest one! We have so many guests these days.
Last week, Emma's dad stopped by to read " The cat in the boots" book in French.
It was an interesting experience. Emma's dad kindly translated story in English for friends.
Then, Leon's mom came to our classroom to read a book. But friends were more interested about what happened to her hand. So Leon's mom kindly told friends a non-fiction story of her unfortunate fall while she was painting one of her rooms. She told friends about x-ray she went through. She taught friends about importance of taking good care of their bodies that Hashem gave them. Friends wished Leon's mom speedy recovery- Refua Sheleyma!
Eliana's mom came in our classroom with great book " It's Not Fair" Who doesn't remember thinking "it's not fair" about a thousand times as a child? Starting with the everyday occurrences like an unevenly split cookie or the bad timing of catching chicken pox while everyone else is playing outside at a birthday party, author includes even a planet that thinks it's not fair Saturn's got the rings. Friends shared their opinions about what do they think is not fair.
Menny's mom read friends a book in Hebrew.
What will our world be in future? What will it be when Moshiach will come?
Friends discussed different ideas after listening to the book.
"Yummy, yummy! Food in my tummy!" was a book that David S. asked his father and his sister Talia to read for Pre-K friends. A funny story about two creative monkeys who lived on opposite islands separated by an ocean with mean sharks in. How could they meet for a cup of banana milkshake and piece of coconut cake?
Naomi's mom read " The Berenstain Bears and the Green eyed monster". A story about bear sister that can't believe the gift Brother get is a big shiny three-speed bike she's ever seen! She may not be big enough to reach the pedals, but she gotta have it! The evils of jealousy become clear in a nightmare in which a green-eyed monster convinces Sister to prove that she can ride the bike.
