On Thursday, Pre-K friends took a trip around the neighborhood to find a Jewish House?
What makes a Jewish House?
How we can find it? Surely enough we found one!
We were kindly invited into Rabbi and Mrs. Avremel Okonov's house.
When we gathered around at the front door, we noticed something important that we couldn't miss,
A great big mezuzah on the door. At every door in the Jewish house there is a mezuzah accept one door.
At the table we noticed a challah cover and challah board that we use on Shabbos.
A tzedakah box filled with coins
When we walked through the door we noticed books in the study room.
Many many s'forim! They help us learn Torah.
We noticed a beautiful menorah that makes our Chanukah celebration so festive and bright!
We were very excited to daven in Mordechai Yisroel' house.
Mordechai Yisroel showed everyone his siddur.
Sophie did amazing job davening. She was the one to help Morah holding Aleph- Beis.
In the kitchen we noticed kosher food and a tzedakah box on the stove. Before we start to cook we put a tzedakah in the box collecting money for poor people.
Thank you very much Rabbi and Mrs. Avremel Okonov for letting us in your house.
