Fall is here!

Pre-K friends continue to learn about FALL.
Fall is the time when most fruits and vegetable are been harvested. Many friends shared that they went apple and pumpkin picking with their families. What a great experience!
Pre-K friends went to a local store to buy different apples. Morah brought two pumpkins in the class. Friends could compare these two fall fruits. They found out that apples are light and pumpkins are heavy, apples have gentle thin skin, pumpkins have very thick skin. We found out that all friends love apples.
But what kind apples do they like the most?
Friends voting and math graph showed that most friends like yellow apples.
We discussed what people use apples for.
Some friends said we can make apple juice, apple pie or apple cupcakes.

David, Rachel and Mordechai Yisroel decided to make an apple sauce.

There are so many different kinds of apples: some are big, some are small.
They have different names: Lady apples, Crab apples...

We discovered that apples can get rotten.

Pumpkin is heavy.  Rachel, Eliana and Ema tried to pick it up.
When Morah asked friends what is inside of pumpkin, they all said seeds. When morah asked what color are seeds? Some said white, some said blue...

We cut the pumpkin and ...

...discovered that friends were true. There were white seeds inside. Many many seeds.
Morah asked friends what time of year do we see pumpkins? Why do we see them mostly in the fall? Where do pumpkins grow?
We learned cute rhyme about the pumpkin.
Pumpkin, pumpkin,
Big and round
I'm glad you grow on the ground
I'm glad you don't grow in a tree.
Then you might fall down on me.
