All About Me- My House

This week Pre-K friends discussed that one of the things that makes us the same is that we need a space to live. Friends said that they live in houses. But what is a house?
House is a place where people live. (David G.)
We can build a house. (Naomi)
House is a thing that you live in and it keeps us safe.(Sophie)
House is Beis Hamikdosh. (Mickey)
House is for people to live and to eat there. (Ema)
House has table that we put fruits on. (Eliana)
House is a place where you play, eat and watch TV. (Jason)
House is a place where plates on a table and you can eat. (Leon)
House is a place like Beis Hamikdosh. (Menny)
Friends were right! House is a place where people live. Families eat, sleep, and play in a house. Some houses look like squares or rectangles. The roof can look like a triangle. There are houses and there are buildings. We learned that it takes big team of workers to build a house. Architect gets an idea how a house will look like inside and outside, constructors make floor, put walls up, install windows and doors, put a roof on. We discussed that a door let us come in and out, windows let light in, roof keeps rain off. Then other professionals come into the house: electricians to wire the house with electricity, plumbers to install pipes that water will come in the house and painters to paint the house bright.
